Lecture – Battle of Leyte Gulf, 1944
Location & Directions
1370 El Camino Real, Colma
Join historian Michael Svanevik for a look at the most significant naval battle of the World War II and perhaps the largest naval clash in history. The Imperial Japanese Navy suffered tremendous losses and never again sailed to battle in comparable force. Leyte Gulf unblocked the road to Tokyo. New tactics, prominent personalities, fascinating – but not for the faint of heart.
