“Living Color” Botanical Art Gala
Date & Time
Details
Please join us on the evening of February 1st to celebrate the botanical artwork of Pria Graves! Meet the artist herself, enjoy drinks and catered refreshments, and walk through the first ever botanical illustration gallery exhibit hosted at Cypress Lawn Arboretum.
Nearly 30 watercolor paintings created by Miss Graves over the course of her illustrative career will be on display at 1370 El Camino Real. In addition, several artifacts showcasing her creative process will be featured in glass cases, including working drawings, paint brushes, old color palettes, and more. Come learn about the making of botanical illustration from a master of her craft, and see for yourself dozens of Miss Graves’ finished works, in living color!
This exhibit will be on display through February 24th, and you are welcome to visit us at Cypress Lawn anytime during business hours to see the “Living Color” exhibit. Please note that, as the gallery area is adjacent to Cypress Lawn’s Tiffany Chapel and nearby spaces for funeral services and family ID viewings, there may be times when parts of the exhibit are closed to the general public. With this in mind, please contact the main reception desk at (650) 550-8808 with any questions regarding visiting hours in advance of your visit. We sincerely hope you will join us on February 1st at this inaugural gala event!
