In Loving Memory of Alfio Pulido Baula

September 11, 1938 – November 8, 2025

Alfio Pulido Baula, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at the age of 87. Born in Barrio Canaoay, San Fernando, La Union, Philippines, Alfio lived a life defined by unwavering love, faith, and devotion to family.

The eldest of three children, he is preceded in death by his siblings Juan Jr. (Bert) and Regina. Alfio attended the University of the Philippines, where he pursued a degree in Commerce. At the age of 23, he married the love of his life, Rosalinda, on May 21, 1962. Together they built a beautiful family with three daughters—Shirley, Diana (deceased), Abigail (Gigi)—and one son, Lawrence. Their unconditional love and lifelong partnership were an inspiring example of faith, strength, and commitment, and they shared 64 wonderful years of marriage.

In 1967, Alfio and Rosalinda migrated to the United States, beginning a new chapter together. Alfio worked at the Fairmont Hotel, Bank of California, Highlands Christian School, and PIP Printing, where he was admired for his dedication and work ethic. He was known for his humility, gentle spirit, and joy in life’s simple pleasures—especially beach walks, fishing, and bowling.

Despite facing health challenges in his final years, Alfio remained surrounded by the love and care of his devoted family. His legacy of kindness, devotion, and strength will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

We invite those who wish to pay tribute to share condolences and memories on this memorial page.

Memories

  • A Father-in-Law Who Welcomed Me with Love

I will always remember my father-in-law, Alfio- his kindness, his quiet strength, and how he welcomed me into the family with open arms years ago. He was truly a great role model for my huband, Lawrence, and enjoyed seeing their bond strengthen as time went by. Every doctors appointment in the last two years, he was proud to say that he was there with his son when the nurses/physicians would ask who he was with. Thank you dad for every conversation, every story, and every moment i was able to share with you. I will miss you Handsome!
