Cristina D Soriano

Cristina “Cris” D. Soriano, 69, of San Francisco, CA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2024, in San Francisco after a courageous battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.

Cristina was born on September 25, 1954, in Sampaloc, Manila, Philippines, to her beloved parents, Alberto M. David and Consolacion S. David, who have both preceded her in death. She spent her childhood growing up in Del Pilar, San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines, where she attended St. Scholastica’s Academy for her elementary and high school education. Cristina later pursued higher education at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila.

Cris was a proud member of the “CoolaSSAs ’71,” a close-knit group of childhood friends with whom she shared many cherished memories. On November 23, 1972, she married the love of her life, Efren M. Soriano, at St. Anthony’s Church in Tamuning, Guam. Together, they built a beautiful life across several places, including Tumon, Guam; and San Francisco, CA.

She dedicated 41 years of service to Wells Fargo Bank, where she was known for her professionalism, kindness, and unwavering commitment.

Cristina was a woman of many interests. She found joy in reading, solving Sudoku and crossword puzzles, and cooking. She was an ardent supporter of the Golden State Warriors and the 49ers. Above all, she treasured spending time with her family, who brought immense joy to her life.

Cristina is survived by her loving husband, Efren M. Soriano. She was the devoted mother of Gayle D. Soriano (Spouse: Rory Sarmiento), Rachel S. Febre (Spouse: Benjamin Febre), and Darrell John D. Soriano (Spouse: Ellaine Parker). Cristina’s legacy continues through her cherished grandsons: Rory Anthony Sarmiento, Jr., Jared Soriano Sarmiento, Damian Reign Soriano, and Dominic Rhys Soriano.

She is also survived by her siblings: Amelia D. Gomez (Spouse: Francisco), Lucy D. Douglas (Spouse: Ricky), Alberto S. David, Jr. (Spouse: Agnes), Donny S. David (Spouse: Maggie), Tito S. David (Spouse: Jaynette), Manuel S. David, Florence S. David (Spouse: Gene) and John M. David. . Cristina leaves behind numerous extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

She was predeceased by her siblings Natividad D. Austria, Daniel S. David, and her sister-in-law Liberata C. David.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Church of Epiphany in San Francisco, CA. The service will be officiated by Father Eugene Tungol.

Cristina will be lovingly carried to her final resting place by her pallbearers: Rory A. Sarmiento, Jr. (Grandson), Jared S. Sarmiento (Grandson), Gilbert D. Austria (Nephew), Richard D. Austria (Nephew), Raymond H. Catapang (Nephew), and Michael M. Reyes (Cousin).

Cristina “Cris” D. Soriano will forever be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the love she gave to her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
