David F. Gallagher

David F. Gallagher February 8th, 1940 – March 11th, 2025

David Gallagher passed away peacefully on March 11th. David was the beloved husband of Nancy Claire Gallagher (1940-2017) for 51 years. He was the proud father of three children, Kimberly (Sean) Callan, Debra (Tim) Cullinane, and Steven (Laura) Gallagher; Beloved Grampster to Shane (fiancée Danielle), Tara and Ryan Callan, David and Jenna Cullinane, and Kylie, Reagan and Sabrina Gallagher; Brother in law to Arthur and Wendy Owen, and uncle to Tim Brewster, Victoria Borchers, and Rebecca Owen; great friend of Don Aish and Carolyn Fullendorf.
Born and raised in the Mission District of San Francisco, he had a deep love and appreciation for the city that raised him. He graduated from Saint Anthony’s grammar school in 1953, and he was a proud alumnus of Riordan high school, where he graduated from in 1957. David was a lifelong realtor and worked in the Mission district his entire career. He was very involved with both city and real estate dealings, including serving as the President of the San Francisco Real Estate Association in 1976, the South End Rowing Club in 1967, as well as serving many terms of the now defunct South Of Army Mission Merchants. All three of his children are teachers. David loved nothing more than being with his family and his friends. He was famous for having many barbecues, dinners, any occasion to be together, he lived for it. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and his community. There will be a memorial mass for David on March 21st at 10am, at Our Lady of Angels church in Burlingame. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Mission Hospice and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation/Breakthrough T1D.
