Del Carlos Tanyag

Del  (Adelio) Carlos Tanyag , a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away on August 20, 2025.  Del  was born in Taguig, Rizal, Philippines on April 21, 1937 . The first child of nine, born to Gregoria Carlos and Deogracias Tanyag.

Upon graduation with a Bachelor of  Science in Law degree from the University of the East, Philippines, Del immigrated to the U.S. on  June 9, 1969 along with his wife, Isabel Escamos and their four children, Elvie, Al, Cynthia and Rommel where they lived in San Francisco, Ca.

Del was a hard working , loving husband and father who provided for his family having been employed with Union Bank for 37 years since 1970 as a Senior Account Reconciler.  He was widowed in 1982 and married Ofelia Restua on January 17, 1992 .  Del led a life of simplicity, love and cherished moments.  After his retirement on March 29, 2007, he enrolled at City College of SF and took computer classes which he really enjoyed  keeping  himself active and busy. He  enjoyed his daily walks at the Golden Gate Bridge, traveling and  attending family gatherings, picnics, camping and parties, along with dining out.  Del  loved so much being with family and friends.  He was such a loving, compassionate and happy person,  always full of humor which brought joy to all who knew him. 

Del is survived by his loving wife of over 33 years, Ofelia Restua Tanyag, his sisters, Bella and Flor, brothers Eddie, Gilbert , Henry and their families, his 4 children and their families along with 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Del will be missed by all of us who were inspired by him throughout his life. The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day but the love and memory of Del will never pass away.  We love you Del and we will dearly miss you.
