It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gordon Wong, a beloved husband, father, and friend. Gordon was born on November 5, 1949, in Toisan, Guangdong, China, and later made his home in San Francisco, California. He passed away on September 22, 2025, surrounded by his family.

Gordon was a dedicated husband to his loving wife, Sharon, and a devoted father to his four children, Leonard, Bryan, Evan, and Eva. He was a pillar of strength and support for his family, always putting their needs above his own. Gordon’s compassionate nature, honesty, and humility touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a trustworthy friend and a caring soul who will be deeply missed.

In his spare time, Gordon enjoyed hiking, traveling, fishing, camping, karaoke and dancing. He found solace in nature and loved to explore the great outdoors with his family. Gordon’s adventurous spirit and zest for life were truly inspiring to all who knew him.

Gordon’s dedication and hard work were recognized when he was awarded the San Francisco Municipal Railway Maintenance Worker Of The Month. His commitment to his job and his community were unwavering, and he was respected by all who crossed his path.

A ceremony to celebrate Gordon’s life will be held at Newall Chapel on October 18, 2025, at 12:30 PM, officiated by his beloved wife, Sharon. Those who wish to pay their respects may contact Sharon at 415 845-1961. Memorial donations or flowers can be sent to Newall Chapel.

Following the ceremony, a reception will be held at Grand Palace Seafood Restaurant in South San Francisco at 4:30 PM. It will be a time for family and friends to come together, share memories, and honor the life of a truly remarkable man.
