Hipolito Sanchez

Hipolito Sanchez Miranda, aged 59, passed away on July 29, 2024, at 9:15 AM at UCSF Hospital, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication.

Born on August 13, 1964, in Cacahoatan, Chiapas, Mexico, he was the cherished son of Juan Sanchez Gonzalez and Francisca Miranda Lopez. He was the second-to-last of seven children, leaving behind siblings Luis Francisco Sanchez, Josefina Sanchez,  and Anselmo Sanchez.

At 19, Hipolito married Carmen Hernandez, and together, they had three children: Juan Carlos (40), Anselmo (38), and Hipolita Narcy (36). He was a devoted grandfather to 11 grandchildren, who were the light of his life. His love for them was evident in every moment spent together, always playing and ensuring they felt cherished, a true reflection of his caring nature and the importance of family in his life.

Hipolito’s journey was marked by hard work and sacrifice. He began working young to help his family and eventually immigrated to the United States in the mid-1980s, seeking better opportunities. Despite challenges, including a struggle with alcoholism, he was known for his unwavering work ethic and dedication.

In 2014, Hipolito became a Christian and accepted Jesus Christ as his only savior. Later that year, he was baptized, and around that time, he stopped drinking. He had been sober for approximately ten years. During sobriety, Hipolito built closer relationships with his two sons, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren, strengthening the bonds that meant so much to him. That was a true testament to the power of resilience and the importance of faith in his life.

Known for his hearty laugh, good sense of humor, and loving nature, Hipolito also had a passion for painting and was incredibly kind. His memory will forever live in the hearts of his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life was a beautiful testament to love, resilience, and the importance of family. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

Hipólito Sánchez Miranda, de 59 años, falleció el 29 de julio de 2024 a las 9:15 a.m. en el Hospital UCSF, dejando un legado de amor y dedicación. 

Nacido el 13 de agosto de 1964 en Cacahoatán, Chiapas, México, era el hijo predilecto de Juan Sánchez González y Francisca Miranda López. Fue el penúltimo de siete hermanos, dejando a sus hermanos Francisco Sanchez, Josefina Sánchez y Anselmo Sánchez.

A los 19 años, Hipólito se casó con Carmen Hernández y juntos tuvieron tres hijos: Juan Carlos (40), Anselmo (38) e Hipólita Narcy (36). Fue un abuelo devoto de 11 nietos, que fueron la luz de su vida. Su amor por ellos era evidente en cada momento que pasaban juntos, siempre jugando y asegurándose de que se sintieran apreciados, un fiel reflejo de su naturaleza cariñosa y la importancia de la familia en su vida.

El viaje de Hipólito estuvo marcado por el trabajo duro y el sacrificio. Comenzó a trabajar joven para ayudar a su familia y finalmente emigró a los Estados Unidos a mediados de la década de 1980, en busca de mejores oportunidades. A pesar de los desafíos, incluida la lucha contra el alcoholismo, era conocido por su inquebrantable ética de trabajo y dedicación.

En 2014, Hipólito se convirtió al cristianismo y aceptó a Jesucristo como su único salvador. Más tarde ese mismo año, se bautizó y, por esa época, dejó de beber. Había estado sobrio durante aproximadamente diez años. Durante la sobriedad, Hipólito construyó relaciones más estrechas con sus dos hijos, nueras y nietos, fortaleciendo los lazos que tanto significaban para él. Ese fue un verdadero testimonio del poder de la resiliencia y la importancia de la fe en su vida.

Conocido por su risa cordial, su buen sentido del humor y su naturaleza cariñosa, Hipólito también tenía una pasión por la pintura y era increíblemente amable. Su recuerdo vivirá por siempre en los corazones de su familia y de todos los que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo. Su vida fue un hermoso testimonio del amor, la resiliencia y la importancia de la familia. Se le echará mucho de menos, pero nunca se le olvidará.
