Ivan Nikolić passed away on January 11, 2024 after a battle with longterm illness. In his last moments he was surrounded by his loving family.

Ivan was Born in Kupres, Bosnia-Herzegovina to Mirko and Mara Nikolić and due to circumstances of war, was raised primarily by his mother. He married Ruža Bušić in 1958 and had 2 children before moving to Slavonska Požega, Croatia. They had four children before immigrating to America where they resided primarily in San Mateo, CA. He worked as a self employed general contractor for most of his life and was well known for giving work opportunities to fellow Croatians who were just starting out in the field. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. His hobby was playing chess and often played with friends and participated in many chess tournaments. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Ivan is survived by his four daughters Mara Radić, Katica Majić, Slavica Skračić, and Ivanka Čargonja; grandchildren Josipa, Tomislav and Dominik Majić, Marija Grizelj, Ruža Marcelić, Ana Majić, and Vinka Radić, Mirna and Matija Skračić, Luka, Nikolina and Anton Čargonja; and great- grandchildren Natalia, Luka, Marko and Gabriela Majić, Mladen, Ivan and Andrej Grizelj, and Izabela Marcelić.

Tuesday January 16th at 7:00 pm at Sneider, Sullivan & O’Connell’s Funeral Home 997 S. El Camino Real , San Mateo, Ca 94402, 650-343-1804
and to the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass on Wednesday, January 17th at 11:00am
at Assumption of Mary Croatian Catholic Church, 901 Lincoln Avenue, San Jose, CA 95126
