Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell's

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Kaye O’Halloran. Kaye is a legend in the San Francisco Bay Area and has been for her entire life. She is best known for her decades long career as a realtor and her love for placing families in new homes. She was also a long-standing member of the Auxiliary at Sutter Hospital, where she served in many roles including President and Vice President, creating an atmosphere of empathy, love and healing for the patients.

Kaye woke up every day excited about the endless possibilities that day held. She was very active, enjoying tennis, swimming and long hikes. She loved to celebrate any occasion, she was the life of every party, and she always engaged in life to the fullest. St. Patrick’s Day parades and watching the Blue Angels were among her very favorite events each year. Kaye celebrated her 100th birthday party surrounded by loved ones and friends in March, where she showed that same amazing energy and love for a good party.

Extremely committed to her Catholic faith, Kaye attended church regularly throughout her entire life. She was an avid traveler and even visited Medjugorje, where she immersed herself in the mysteries of the Blessed Mother. This was a highlight of her spiritual life. When recently asked what we should pray for, in her name, she replied, “Pray that we can all love each other and remember to take good care of each other.”

The daughter of Frank D. Kelleher and Ellen A. Phelan, both of San Francisco. Kaye is survived by her two daughters, Sheila O’Halloran and Nancy Missildine, her loving grandchildren Eric, Nathan, Deanna and Shane, and several great grandchildren. Kaye is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loving friends. She was preceded in death by her son Michael, as well as her beloved brother Frank Kelleher and their brothers and sisters. Kaye is now in heaven with all her friends and the family who passed before her.

Memories

  • Rest in Peace Kaye

“Pray that we can all love each other and remember to take good care of each other” summed up Kaye to her core. She helped my mom and I during some tough times and we will always keep her memory in our hearts. I hope you are having an extra large Manhattan UP in heaven. We will miss you.
