Jan 26, 1943 – Sep 6, 2024

Sneider & Sullivan & O'Connell's

Marlene Liliana Belluomini, age 81, passed away on September 6, 2024 after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Marlene was born on January 26,1943 in Albareto, Italy. She immigrated to the United States in 1954 with her parents Emilio and Maria Riccoboni and her siblings Bruno, Ivana, Carl and Frank. They journeyed to South San Francisco, eventually settling in Mountain View, California.

Marlene graduated from Los Altos High School going on to work at Hewlett Packard in her twenties.

She met and fell in love with her life long partner, Dino Belluomini. They were married on September 28, 1963. They started a family and raised their three boys, Paul, Marc and Thomas back in South San Francisco.

In 1977, they started a successful business, The Statue Factory, with their sister and brother in law Roseo and Ivana Panontin. She worked tirelessly while managing the company and raising her children. Amazingly, still having a fantastic home cooked meal for the family on the table every night.

Her passions were dancing and cooking. If you were at a dance you would certainly find her on the dance floor. Her face would have a smile as she spun around the floor to the sound of the music. Cooking was something that she excelled at also. She had a great teacher in her mother, Maria. She mastered the old recipes and loved to learn new ones. If she went to a restaurant and they had a dish that everyone was talking about she would try replicating that dish while making it better. She would do this by using her family as testers, then when she felt it was ready, invite friends over and treat them to a delicious heartfelt meal.

People were naturally drawn to Marlene. She was a great conversationalist and listener as well, no matter who you were, child or adult. Complete strangers would feel instantly comfortable and open up to her. Crying babies were also her forte. She would take that child, hold them in her arms, rock and sing them into a calm submission. It was a gift.

She was the true definition of a Matriarch of a family, always putting the needs of others above her owns even until the end. She will be missed and forever in our hearts.

Preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Dina and Paolo Belluomini, and baby girl (1966). Beloved wife of Dino Belluomini married since 1963.  Her sons Dr. Paul Belluomini (Joanne), Marc, and Thomas.  Her granddaughters Loren (Jessica), Milena, and Breanna.  Her siblings Bruno Riccoboni (Catherine), Ivana Panontin (Roseo), Dr. Frank Riccoboni (Judy), Dr. Carl Riccoboni (Patricia). Sister-in-law Paola Silvestri (Pierluigi), many nieces and nephews, cousins here and in Italy.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, 9/12/2024 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 28th & Hacienda, San Mateo, CA.
