Mary Phan, 75, left us on January 20, 2026, with her family by her side in San Francisco. 

Family was always her greatest treasure throughout her life, and with family, was she able to finally rest.

Mary always had such strength. Her soul now departs this world, but joins other spirits who have passed, finding her peace. 

You were there when I took my first breath, I was there when you took your last…

You chose my first outfit, I picked your last dress…

You signed my birth certificate, I signed your death certificate…

No need to forgive, no need to forget, I know your mistakes and you know mine…

And while you are sleeping, we’ll try to make you proud, so Mary won’t you just close your eyes? Don’t be afraid, it’s our turn to chase the monsters away…
