Nancy Louise Campana
Jan 20, 1942 – Feb 3, 2026

Nancy Louise Campana passed away at her home in Burlingame on Tuesday, February 3. Nancy was born in 1942 at the French Hospital in San Francisco to Henry and Jeannette Lestrade. Her parents spoke French at home and she was raised fluent in both French and English. Nancy met her husband, William, in seventh grade homeroom at Aptos Junior High School. She attended Lincoln High School in San Francisco before graduating from the University of California, Berkeley with a French degree. She later became a certified public accountant and was the Controller for Matson & Company for many years. In her retirement, she volunteered at many organizations including Lucile Packard Auxiliary, Mission Hospice and Filoli. She was an active member of the Burlingame Women’s Club, enjoyed her book club and socializing with friends. Nancy and Bill enjoyed spending time at their home in Silverado, Napa, where they enjoyed long walks, wine tasting and indulging in great restaurants, including a traditional anniversary dinner at Auberge du Soleil. Nancy enjoyed spirited games of dominos with Bill, who claims she was a “pretty good” player. Nancy enjoyed following Bay Area Sports and attending Warriors basketball games, SF Giants baseball games and SF 49er football games. Nancy enjoyed many trips and cruises with Bill, as well as annual trips to the Napili Surf in Maui. As a devoted mother and grandmother, she enjoyed celebrating family birthdays, graduations, holidays and all activities in which her grandchildren participated. She enjoyed many Sunday dinners in her parents backyard, which always started with a cocktail hour including pitchers of picons or manhattans. She enjoyed cooking, attending theatre productions in San Francisco and spending time with her family.
Nancy’s greatest pride and accomplishment is her family. Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, William; her children, Mark Campana (Adele), Suzanne Oliver (Todd) and Ronald Campana (Alicia); nine grandchildren, Matthew Campana, Peter Campana (Taylor), Carolyn Campana, Anna Campana, Taylor Oliver (Anna), Nicholas Oliver, Bradley Oliver, Madeline Oliver and Christopher Campana; and her sister, Nadine Margoles (Gary). She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Jeannette Lestrade.
