Phuoc Huu Trinh-Huynh will be remembered with honor and affection by family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by their presence.

Phuoc Huu Trinh-Huynh, known to many as a loving father, devoted husband, and cherished friend, passed away on September 21, 2025, at the age of ninety-nine. He was born on December 17, 1925, in Vietnam and later made San Francisco, California, his home. Phuoc was a man of many talents and accomplishments, having earned an associate’s degree and achieving the milestones of purchasing his first car and first house in San Francisco.
Throughout his life, Phuoc was known for his optimistic outlook, resilience in the face of challenges, independence, sense of humor, and unwavering honesty. He was a dedicated family man, survived by his loving children Huey, Scott, Jenny (daughter-in-law), Nancy, Derick (son-in-law), Linda, and Eugene (son-in-law) as well as his grandchildren Christophe, Chloe, Kurtis, Ian. Phuoc’s parents, Can Huynh, Lien Ngoc Trinh-Huynh, Phuoc’s beloved wife, Hiep Chau-Huynh, preceded in death, but their love lives on in the hearts of those who knew them.
In addition to his dedication to his family, Phuoc had a passion for learning and language. He was fluent in English, Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin), French, Japanese, Russian, and Vietnamese, a testament to his intellectual curiosity and determination. In his leisure time, Phuoc enjoyed reading, writing, cooking, engaging in home DIY projects, and practicing calligraphy, showcasing his creativity and attention to detail.
One of the most cherished memories for Phuoc and his family was a trip to Hawaii, where they shared laughter, relaxation, and unforgettable moments together. This trip encapsulated the joy and love that Phuoc brought to every aspect of his life, leaving a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him.
As we gather to celebrate Phuoc’s life and legacy, we are reminded of the words of Maya Angelou, who said, “I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” Phuoc’s kindness, warmth, and generosity touched all who crossed his path, leaving a legacy of love and compassion that will endure for generations to come.
A ceremony in honor of Phuoc Huu Trinh-Huynh will be held on October 12, 2025, 12:30PM, Tiffany Chapel, Cypress Lawn Funeral Home, 1370 El Camino Real, Colma, CA 94104, and followed by a reception, 5PM, Grand Palace Restaurant, 359 Grand Ave, So.
