Romeo Malapit Perez

Jul 26, 1945 – Dec 9, 2024

Romeo Malapit Perez, born on July 26, 1945, in Calasiao, Pangasinan, was a man defined by love, humility, and hard work. Known for his punctuality and a warm sense of humor, Romeo was a man of few words, yet he had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him. He loved traveling, celebrating special occasions with loved ones, and singing karaoke, always creating moments that brought family and friends together.

The eldest of four brothers—Frank, Mandy, and Mauro Jr.—Romeo valued dedication and compassion throughout his life. His two greatest loves were God and his family.

Romeo was a devoted husband to Lourdes Manipud Perez and a proud father to his children: Rizzalie, Michelle (and son-in-law Jerry), Rommel (and daughter-in-law Jaymee), Jerome, Maribeth (and son-in-law Fred), and Lorraine. He was cherished by his grandchildren—Jonelle, Jeremy, Jennavie, Johnny, Rosalyn, Joseph, Jacob, Isaiah, Jayden, Mya, and Gabriel—and his great-grandchildren—Jeremiah, David III, and Alayna—who will forever carry his legacy in their hearts.

A hardworking provider, Romeo dedicated himself to two jobs: as a custodian for Jefferson School District and a bartender at the California Golf Club. His tireless work ethic ensured a better life for his family and stood as a testament to his selflessness and perseverance.

Romeo’s life, though full of challenges, was rich in love, faith, and laughter. As William Penn once wrote, “For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity.” Though we mourn his passing, we celebrate the legacy he leaves behind—a life of kindness, joy, and unwavering devotion to his family and faith.
