Born and raised in Southern California, Cathy started her career in the deathcare industry in 2008. She first served as a Family Service Counselor, helping both at-need and pre-need families. After noticing a significant need to spread the word about the advantages of pre-planning, Cathy expanded her role to plan seminars and create more connections within her community.

Shortly thereafter, Cathy was promoted to manage the pre-need department over seven standalone funeral homes. With a track record of success within the Orange County market, Cathy was promoted to Market Sales Manager for that AOR (four cemetery/funeral home combinations and seven standalone funeral homes), leading several managers, over 100 counselors, and support staff.

In 2018, Cathy joined the Cypress Lawn family as an Assistant Manager in the Family Service Department. She was later promoted to become Director of Family Service. In this role, she continued to grow her team, put processes in place, and drive growth.

Cathy currently serves as Vice President of Family Service. She was involved with the acquisition of Olivet, including preparing, staffing, and training the at-need team.

While other locations may have closed at times during the recent pandemic, leadership at Cypress Lawn provided guidance that enabled and enhanced the continued success of Cathy’s team. Cathy firmly believes providing excellent service is all about teamwork — there is no “I” or “Me” … it’s “WE” who work together to best serve families.

In her free time, Cathy enjoys traveling and spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren, ages 5 and 1.
