Raymond J. Sala has been the Chief Financial Officer of Cypress Lawn for over 10 years. He is a seasoned professional responsible for the company’s financial, treasury, human resources, information technology, and administrative functions, including regulatory, legal, and risk management.

His career spans more than 35 years of varied experience in financial and operational management, business leadership, and corporate strategy with a proven track record of driving financial performance and operational excellence, ranging from small companies to Fortune 500 companies across several industries.

Ray is a CPA who holds two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of San Francisco in Accounting and Finance. One of Ray’s cherished accomplishments came in 1999 where he was an invited to be a guest speaker at the National Controller’s Conference on the topic, “Leadership in the Next Millennium.”

A native San Franciscan, Ray was “born” into the Cypress Lawn Family where his father began his own 60-year career working his way from a cemetery groundskeeper to Superintendent before retiring. Ray considers it an honor and privilege to carry on his father’s legacy in service to Cypress Lawn. Ray and Monica, his wife of 30-plus years, enjoy spending most of their free time with family and traveling.
