Why Cypress Lawn

A SANCTUARY OF UNPARALLELED NATURAL BEAUTY

There are places we go to get away from it all. Places that allow us to pause, exhale, and remember what’s important in life. For many people, Cypress Lawn is one of these places.

A Bay Area Treasure, Faithfully Preserved Since 1892

Maybe it’s our 300 acres of breathtaking natural beauty, including our captivating views, lush landscape, and wide-open spaces. Or maybe it’s the history here – our long-standing presence in the community or our stunning art and architecture — known around the world as a San Francisco treasure since 1892.

Since its founding over a century ago, Cypress Lawn Funeral Home & Memorial Park has remained a peaceful sanctuary, with its future secured through the largest endowment in Northern California.

A Natural Beauty, Nestled Along the Coast of San Francisco

Our stunning cemetery is nestled along the magnificent coast of San Francisco. Surrounded by natural beauty, our memorial gardens are truly one of a kind, our arboretum presents a peaceful escape from the outside world, and our statuaries showcase stunning marble artwork and structures. The history of California can be felt as you wander the grounds of Cypress Lawn, as many notable and historic Californians have been laid to rest within our Memorial Park.

The Perfect Place to Remember

We proudly offer full-service funeral, burial, cremation, and reception services to the families of San Francisco and beyond. Our team is able to help families of all religions and cultures during their time of need. We have staff members who are not only experienced in planning memorials of varying traditions but also speak multiple languages.

The legacy we’ve built is important to us, but so is what we’re building for future generations.
We have over 100 years of service, and we’re just getting started.
